Sens blown away As good as they were on 11-game winning streak in January and February, the Senators are now just as bad.

They have lost three of their last four games, with their lone victory during that stretch being made possible by a three-goal, third-period comeback against the lowly Islanders.

Otherwise, their goaltending responsibilities have officially been placed in the hands of Brian Elliott — who is one year out of the AHL — their defensive game is in shambles and they have lost their scoring touch.

At the rate they’re going, the Senators are making GM Bryan Murray look foolish for being a buyer rather than a seller at the trade deadline.
