Senators and Fisher ready to get underway

Posted on September 15, 2010

The Ottawa Senators will officially get the 2010-11 season underway Thursday morning with the team's 17th annual charity golf tournament, but that will be the last of the fun and games for many players.

Fifty players have been invited to training camp, the roster includes five goaltenders, 15 defencemen and 30 forwards.
Friday morning the team will be on hand at Scotiabank Place to be run through the paces as part of the medicals and fitness testing.

Fans can then get a first-hand look at some of the player's fighting for a roster spot this season as the Senators are set to host FanFest 2010 Saturday morning.
Fans will be able to watch two practices, take part in interactive games with the Sens Street Tour and of course Spartacat will be on hand.

Group I will take to the ice at 10 a.m. followed by the second group at 11:45 a.m.

A non-perishable item or monetary donation would be appreciated for the food bank.
