Predators blow lead, chance at division

Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne skated toward the bench and slammed his stick on the ice.

A three-goal lead at home, a chance to put pressure on the Detroit Red Wings for the Central Division lead had washed away in the final two periods.

After Dan Cleary's overtime goal, the Predators were left to sulk as the Red Wings whooped and hollered about their comeback.

Normally, three goals is enough cushion to provide the Predators an almost-certain victory. On Saturday, it was a small enough margin to see the Red Wings claw back and beat Nashville 4-3 in overtime in front of an announced sellout of 17,113 at Bridgestone Arena.
