Ducks even series During Nashville’s first-round series with Anaheim, Coach Barry Trotz has been adamant that his team can hang with the Ducks at even-strength. The Ducks excel on the power play, and they used that talent to win 5-3 on Friday and tie the series at one game apiece.

Anaheim gained momentum from two power-play goals in the first period to beat the Predators in front of an announced sellout of 17,174 at Honda Center. The series resumes in Nashville for Game 3 on Sunday.

The Predators took six penalties against the Ducks on Friday. In the regular season, the Ducks had the NHL’s third-best power play overall at 23.5 percent and third best at home, where it succeeded at 25.5 percent.
