Fisher earns assist in return, but Preds lose

In the classroom that has been the 2011-12 season for the Nashville Predators, the young squad learned an important lesson in its 3-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks: Keep the momentum.

After the Predators tied the score late in the third period, San Jose struck 57 seconds later to beat Nashville in front of an announced crowd of 15,121 on Tuesday night at Bridgestone Arena.

Predators forward Craig Smith tied the score at 1-1 with 6:48 left in the third period on the power play, but it proved to be short-lived. Joe Pavelski scored the decisive goal to put the Sharks up 2-1 with 5:51 left in the third.
