Hey Kids, Leaders are Readers!

Posted on October 8, 2009

Hey Kids, Leaders are Readers! Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators wants to know what you're reading. This year on Mikefisher.ca you have the opportunity to win tickets to a Senators home game and get an autograph from Mike if you're willing to tell him what you're reading. Mike believes reading books is a great way to help develop your imagination, strengthen your vocabulary and a hobby that will last a lifetime so he's encouraging you to start reading.

So here's what you need to do to enter the contest:
  1. Read a book
  2. Write a brief book review (this can include a small description of what the story was about, why you chose it, what you liked or didn't like)
  3. Send in your book review to [email protected] with your name, age, school, e-mail address and phone number.
Every month we'll read all the entries and make a draw to see who wins the tickets. It's as simple as that. The more books you read the more chances you have of winning. And for those who aren't old enough to write your own book reviews we encourage you to read books and have someone help you with your entry because you're never too young to start reading. Or if you have access to a scanner you can colour a picture and email that to us.

Good Luck and Happy Reading!
