Bridgestone Arena is not an easy place to play on a Saturday night. The 17,113-seat arena is packed, and the atmosphere is festive — so much so that St. Louis Coach Ken Hitchcock once likened it to the Coliseum in Rome.
Add in a hot hockey team, and it’s nearly impossible for the Predators not to get a point. They did just that Saturday, jumping on the Sharks early for a 6-2 win.
“It was nice to have this kind of game against a good team like San Jose,” goaltender Pekka Rinne said. “It’s a place where you always want to play your best games and bring some good times for your fans.”
