A flight delay after their Monday win over Los Angeles in Nashville forced them to arrive here Tuesday morning. That exhaustion led to some uncharacteristic mistakes in a 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes.
The defeat broke a five-game point streak for the Predators (37-20-7). It also broke a six-game winning streak against the Hurricanes. Nashville will have a chance to rest until Saturday and correct the issues that led to six penalties and two power-play goals allowed. It was the most the Predators had been shorthanded since Feb. 9 at Ottawa.
