Predators take Game One

Pucks bouncing off opposing players. Goals from in and around the goalmouth. It definitely felt like a playoff win for the Predators.

Nashville got its goals in non-aesthetically pleasing ways, but the scores still counted in a 3-2 victory over the Red Wings in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup quarterfinals in front of an announced sell-out of 17,113 fans at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesay.

“We had a little bit of fortune,” Coach Barry Trotz said. “We threw pucks to the net and they went in. We need to do more of that.”
