Predators step up and earn win

With two of the marquee newcomers sitting Game 3 out because of suspension, some of the old guard played key roles for the Predators in their 2-0 win over the Coyotes on Wednesday.

Who else would score the first goal — and give Nashville its first lead of the series — besides David Legwand, the team’s original draft pick and all-time leading scorer?

Who else would pick the pocket of a Phoenix defenseman and initiate a second goal besides Martin Erat, the franchise’s second all-time leading scorer?

And who else would come up with the spectacular saves at the end besides Pekka Rinne, the two-time Vezina Trophy finalist?
