Predators just couldn't find a way to beat Coyotes

It wasn’t that Mike Smith was impenetrable. After all, the Predators did net nine goals past the Coyotes goaltender in the Western Conference semifinals.

Before the series, Predators coach Barry Trotz said Pekka Rinne qualified as a hot goaltender. Smith proved to have more heat in the end, however, allowing just one goal in the final two games of the series.

Smith made 32 stops on 33 shots on Monday as the Coyotes beat the Predators 2-1 in Game 5 to clinch the series 4-1.
