While most of us have been enjoying the dog days of summer, the off-season is anything but slow for Mike Fisher.
The Nashville Predators centre has been enjoying a non-stop schedule since the season ended.
During the hockey season Fisher rarely has the opportunity to travel with his wife, country superstar Carrie Underwood, but this summer Fisher has had the opportunity to join Underwood on her Blown Away tour as she promotes her latest album.
Fisher made a trip to Australia and enjoyed the country's many sights.
In addition Fisher has spent time in Vegas, returned to Nashville and enjoyed some much earned down time in his hometown of Peterborough, ON.
Fisher has enjoyed spending time with his family as two of his siblings celebrate their nuptials.
"It's going to be a pretty busy summer, that's for sure," said Fisher earlier this month. "It's going to be a lot of fun."
Fisher expects to add to his travel plans, but says it's all part of enjoying the off-season.
"It's good to sometimes get away," he said. "The season can be gruelling and the summer is the time to relax."
And while Fisher is enjoying his downtime he's also maintaining his training regimen. The intensity of the workouts will continue to rise as the summer progresses.
