Predators shut out by Wild

Shots were at a premium and goals were few and far between on Tuesday night, as the Predators lost to the Wild 2-0 at Xcel Energy Center.

The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for the Predators, who watched Minnesota stick to a familiar formula to shut them down. The Wild lead the NHL in fewest shots against, allowing just 21.8 per game. That’s nine shots fewer than Nashville’s average, and on Tuesday the Predators were outshot 29-16.
