Predators shut out again

The Predators have played some of their best hockey against the NHL’s top teams on this arduous 17-day, seven-game road trip.

But inexplicably they’ve also played some of their worst against the league’s least prolific opponents. On Sunday, it was the woeful Devils who were the far more aggressive team in a 5-0 drubbing of the Predators.

Nashville (8-7-2) has now lost two straight, both to sub-.500 teams, and is 2-2-1 for the trip. The Devils (5-7-5) are one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference.
