A new year, a new half of the season, same problems for the Predators.
Nashville outshot its opponent, carried a lot of the play, but simply couldn’t figure out a way to score a big goal or win in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins on Thursday.
The defeat for the Predators (18-18-5) ended a brief two-game winning streak and kept Nashville in a neutral state in its 41st game — the halfway mark of the season — and its first contest of 2014. The Predators still picked up one point for the third consecutive game. Nashville outshot the Bruins 35-25.
