Predators coach Barry Trotz didn’t think his team should have lost 2-1 to Carolina on Sunday. He thought it should have been a 1-0 or 2-0 Predators victory.
And in Trotz’s mind, the main culprit for the loss was goaltender Carter Hutton, who allowed scores from Alexander Semin and a late game-winner from Jeff Skinner.
“I thought we held them down to virtually no chances against,” Trotz said. “We had lots of chances and just had zero saves today. Bottom line. I thought we were the better team, and the guys in the room deserved to win the game, plain and simple.”
