Predators coach Barry Trotz knew it was going to be one of those days when he went for lunch near downtown Saturday and all he could see was a sea of red.
Many of the sold-out Bridgestone Arena crowd of 17,355 at the Predators' final home game were supporters of the Blackhawks.
"I think it's great for the economic times in Nashville downtown," Trotz said. "I went for lunch today and all I saw was red all over. I saw a Blackhawks flag at one of the venues. I thought it would be really special that all these people come to Nashville and love the downtown. That would give us some motivation to let them come downtown and go home sad. That was my goal."
