The Nashville Predators installed a new coach, a new system and several new forwards this summer, but an old standby might remain the biggest factor this season in the competitive Central Division.
Goaltender Pekka Rinne made 31 saves in a 2-0 win against the Winnipeg Jets at MTS Centre on Friday. It was the 31-year-old's first shutout of the season and his third since he returned to action near the end of last season after missing 51 games because of a hip injury.Rinne had allowed five goals in the first four games, all at home, for the Predators (4-0-1).
