Predators fall to Islanders

Jaroslav Halak tied the New York Islanders record with his 32nd win of the season, making 30 saves in a 5-2 victory against the Nashville Predators at Nassau Coliseum on Thursday.

Halak, 32-12-0 in his first season with the Islanders, tied Billy Smith, Chris Osgood and Rick DiPietro.

It was a bounce-back performance for Halak, who allowed six goals in a 6-5 loss to the New York Rangers on Monday.
