Lance Bouma scored two goals to help the Calgary Flames defeat the Nashville Predators 5-2 at Bridgestone Arena on Sunday.
Calgary (41-28-7) moved one point ahead of the Los Angeles Kings for third place in the Pacific Division. Los Angeles has a game in hand.
"Everyone knows the importance of this game, and everyone really played like a playoff game and really took charge and wanted to be a difference-maker in the game," Bouma said. "When we have that, when we have all four lines going and all our [defensemen] going, we’re a hard team to beat. That’s for sure."
Nashville (47-22-8) remained in first place in the Central Division with 102 points, three more than the St. Louis Blues, who have two games in hand. The Predators were the first team to clinch a berth in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference after a 4-3 win against the Washington Capitals on Saturday.
