The Nashville Predators squandered an
opportunity to take over first place in the Central Division with a 3-2 loss to
the Colorado Avalanche at Pepsi Center on Tuesday.
The Predators (47-23-10) would have moved into the lead with a win but remain one point (105-104) behind the St. Louis Blues, who lost 1-0 to the Winnipeg Jets. The Blues and Predators have two games remaining.
It was the first home game for the
Avalanche (37-31-12) since they were eliminated from Stanley Cup Playoff
consideration on Saturday.
