As Predators coach Peter Laviolette prepared for his team's first game at Bridgestone Arena in two weeks, he was glad that it was against the Blues, a division rival that would naturally ratchet up the intensity and hopefully guard against a homecoming letdown.
Nashville’s 4-0 loss to St. Louis was a disappointment, but in score only as the Predators fired 45 shots on Blues goaltender Jake Allen to no avail.
“It wasn’t from a lack of trying," Laviolette said. "Attempts, opportunities, quality scoring chances are all heavily stacked. The kid played a good game in net tonight."
