Sens snap losing streak with win on Broadway Mike Brodeur walked onto the NHL?s biggest stage, on Broadway, last night and stole the show.

Called up from Binghamton only hours before the opening faceoff, Brodeur made 32 stops for a 2-0 shutout of the New York Rangers. Defenceman Chris Campoli scored the late third-period winner to halt Ottawa?s five-game losing streak.

Campoli scored with 1:14 left after Alex Kovalev did some good work to throw a pass into the slot. Campoli beat Henrik Lundqvist on the stick side. Chris Kelly then scored into an empty net.

Brodeur was told about 11 a.m. that Pascal Leclaire had suffered a possible concussion after taking a shot in the head in the morning skate and Brian Elliott wasn?t feeling well enough to play. The trek from Binghamton to New York City is about three hours by car.
